Justin's First Soccer Game

I forgot to mention in the previous post that this was his first game tonight. They scrimmage for about 20 minutes or so, followed by a short game against another team. He scored the first goal! So, the pictures below are from his first game tonight.

Our Natural...Justin

Justin was in heaven!!! Last week, after obtaining shin gaurds, he wore them for two days straight. He wanted to wear them to bed but I just didn't think it would feel comfortable so I said no to his disappointment.

Austin has been pretty sick, but he was an angel tonight. He didn't even sneeze which I was so grateful for as I had forgotten the kleenex. It was a miracle since we've been going through a box a day with him.
Madeleine was so full of energy. I had her running laps in hopes of tiring her out.

From BBQ to Blizzard

Where did the sun go? We are trying to have a good attitude about this snow storm, the worst we've seen and it is supposed to be Spring. The kids have been helping shovel and keep the driveway and grass clear of snow...a tough job.
Saturday 9 plus inches of snow fell! Crazy.

Outdoors...

We are loving the sun! Biking around the lake, walks through the neighborhood, picnic in our backyard, trips to Henderson Lake etc. Austin is loving the baby swings at the park and the kids are so great about wanting to push him that sometimes I am not sure what to do with myself!

Sunny times

It has really begun to feel like Spring. There have been a few days when we've felt set back (snow flurries and frost), but overall we are enjoying the warmer weather. Eric has been keeping himself busy re-doing the deck, building some trelaces, and overall making our yard and home better than I could have imagined.
The past three weeks I have been able to begin exercising again. I have been having back and nerve pain since the Fall and haven't been able to do much in the way of exercise. I have been doing a walk/run, depending on how my body is feeling. I just signed up for an 8k run in June...so we'll see how the next few months go and hopefully I'll be able to do it. I have missed running. Justin was so sad when I told him it was only for women. He literally threw himself on the floor and started crying then yelling at me that he wanted to run the race, "But why can't I run in the race? I want to run too mom." This went on for about 15 minutes. I couldn't believe how strongly he felt about it.
