Salt Spring Life...just relax and enjoy

The kids met Grandma at the end of her regular morning walk.
Can you tell that the kids love it here?
Madeleine picked some bouquets for me on on many of our walks around the place.
There is something about being on SSI that makes you forget your worries and just let yourself relax and enjoy the natural beauty around you.

Our trip to Salt Spring Island

Sonja, Grandma, traveled with us from Lethbridge to Salt Spring. We were so fortunate to have her with us. She was a calming influence on the children and a good driver when I would need a break. She also planned fun activities for the kids on the way. We stopped at a wolf refuge and met three wolves and learned a bit about their place in the world. We then stayed at the well known Three Valley Gap Hotel and enjoyed the playground, beach and water. A welcome break from the long drive. Thanks Grandma!

Another wonderful stop that the kids just loved was in Kelowna. We spent time at the lake and the kids couldn't leave the zip line alone. They couldn't get enough of it.
When we arrived they hopped onto the trampoline. Lots of good time spent on this. Ted and Sonja are great sports to jump with the kids.

Look at what I've read in two weeks!!!

Madeleine has just blossomed in her ability to read. She is reading so well and growing in her confidence with every book. I read some of these same books when I was a kid and it has been such a fun experience to re-live reading them with her.
