On May 25th Austin learned to ride a two-wheeler. For a few weeks, when the weather accomnodated, we would go out side and give it a try (really just a handful of times). This day I held on to the back of his seat for a few minutes and then pretended to while he was going to Parker's house, but really I was just running behind. When he learned he'd done it on his own he was concerned at first. Quickly this concern turned into disbelief, astonishment and then excitement. We left Parker's and he rode home on his own. Within 20 minutes Austin was riding with complete confidence. Turning, stopping and starting. He was beaming! Such a happy day. We asked Eric to come home at lunch to see him ride.
