We went out to the Milford Colony (a Hutterite colony) last week and picked out 7 nice pumpkins. The kids have been asking daily to carve them. Well, we could put it off no longer. So, this afternoon Madeleine and I made sugar cookie dough and tonight we cut out cookies, decorated them and then sat down to carve.
Justin wanted to be as apart of things as possible. He was more interested in stabbing the pumpkin than actually carving it.
Madeleine drew her very own "spooky" face on her pumpkin and she did the whole thing! She cleaned out the pumpkin and carved a pretty scary looking face. She was so proud of herself, and so were we.
Austin managed to eat more sugar tonight than he has previously in his life...blame it on mom being too distracted cleaning the sprinkles and candies from off of the floor while Austin was on the table eating to his hearts content.
