There were so many special days, people and places to remember that I feel as if this will take forever to chronicle our trip.One Danish tradition is TEA TIME. We have herbal tea and lots of cookies and chocolate. Who wouldn't like this tradition?
We had a special time the week of Christmas with Corrina and Leif staying at the house. We went into town to see Santa and not only saw Santa but also had a mini-concert with Raffi in a small store in town. This Santa could do magic so the kids were convinced that he was "the real one".
We didn't have much snow, but what did come was well appreciated and used by the kids. Decorating the tree with Grandpa was very special for the kids as they were able to handle and place the delicate glass ornaments...no catastrophes either, yeah!
On a Monday evening in mid-December we headed to Victoria to go with Leif and Corrina to Butchart Gardens to see the lights, ice skate and go on the new carousel. We also decided to see if we could pick out a Christmas tree, no luck. We had a beautiful new snow fall that began about an hour or so before we left to the gardens...the snow made it such a magical evening. The kids enjoyed it all! Auntie Corrina had arts and crafts for the kids to do before we left and Austin couldn't have been happier with his new little cousin Julia.

At the tree farm in Victoria where we found no tree, but we did get some warm cider!
This is at the bottom of Furness, where Eric's parents live, and though there were no skates to be found the kids had a great time sliding and making ice angels.
Roasting marshmallows at Grandma and Grandpa's is definitely one of the most looked forward to event.
