the Cardston Kids Marathon

The kids have been running for a couple of months, wearing a pedometer, in order to qualify for this marathon. You track your running and do all but the last mile of the marathon. The last mile is saved for the special marathon race in Cardston.  The kids ran every Tuesday and Thursday immediately following lunch for 35 minutes.  The kids had such a good attitude about it.  In the beginning they were on fire; running whenever they could. That lasted about 2 weeks and then it died down a bit.
We got a bit of rain at the beginning of the race, but the sun came out part way through. I drove down with Natalie and the kids and we all ran it.

Austin was so excited for the first 2 minutes and then he wanted to go in the stroller. No option there as it was already packed with the two little ones. He pulled through and regained his good attitude.

Medals and lunch provided at the end.
Much sunnier on the way back to the car at the end of the race.
