Eric took Madeleine and Justin skiing. Well, the trip took an unexpected turn when they ran out of gas short of the town Eric had planned on filling up at. He asked a farmer for a bit of gas to get to the closest station. He obliged kindly with a bit of gas. The car soon started acting funny, making weird noises...they coasted in to the station where they informed him he had not given him regular gasoline and had caused damage. Hours later they left for the ski hill only to arrive with one hour left before closing. I was so disappointed for them but the kids had a fantastic attitude about the whole day.
This is the empty lot beside us. Our neighbors (in the next cul de sac over) own the land and decided to have a bonfire and cook out with some friends. Our kids were so excited. The strong winds was a bit hard on the fire and caused a bit of concern that we'd catch our neighbors house on fire. Thankfully nothing got burned. We roasted hot dogs and brought salads, soups and buns. It was a fun night.
